Mulhouse is to be the first french city with a true tram-train (the line T4
in Paris uses the same cars, but does not run in streets) The line will
start at the railway station, then follow line 2 and later diverges to the
national railway. I managed to see some test runs.

Testfahrten des "Tram-Trains". Die Linie verläuft vom Bahnhof durch die
Stadt und fährt dann auf den Gleisen der SNCF weiter nach Nordwesten. Es ist
die erste echte Stadtbahn in Frankreich, die Linie T4 in Paris verwendet
zwar die gleichen Wagen, verläuft aber bis auf weiteres ausschließlich auf
Vollbahngleiskörper getrennt von restlichen Verkehr.
