Something new (at least for me) from Strasbourg: The line E terminus at
Boecklin near the European Parliament, and the Citadis trains with their
leading bogies. If you compare them with the - for my eyes - extremely ugly
"Hamsterbacken" in Duesseldorf
(http://www.trampicturebook.de/tram/germany/dusseldo/nf8u.htm), you can see
how good the Alstom Designers are working, as it is the same principle as in
Germany. Compared to the usual Citadis trains, this solution brings a large
leading module with two doors instead of the small first half door at the
usual french trams.

Zumindest für mich neu in Strasbourg: Die Endstation Boecklin und die
Citadis-Züge mit ihrem führenden Drehgestell. Diese Lösung ist wesentlich
besser als bei den anderen Citadis-Zügen, bei denen das ganze erste Modul
auf zwei Achsen sitzt. Eine technisch ähnliche Lösung gibt es in Düsseldorf,
die dortige Umsetzung sieht allerdings nach meinem Geschmack grauenhaft aus

strasbourger Citadis hat man versucht sich an das Design der Eurotram
anzupassen, was durchaus gelungen ist. Mitgrund war aber auch die Hüllkurve,
die die weit überhängenden üblichen Citadis unmöglich gemacht hat. Das wäre
jedenfalls eine gute Alternative zu unserem ULF - so schön kann eine graue
Straßenbahn nämlich auch sein!
